

At The Medical Center of Aurora's Senior Health Center, we offer short-term intensive hospital-based psychiatric treatment for patients age 55 and older. Our team provides physical and emotional support to help overcome behavioral health crisis. Through treatment, we aim to get patients back to functioning in their daily lives and restoring independence.
Acute onset or intensification of delirium, disorientation or hallucinations
Upon admission to the center, patients undergo a comprehensive psychiatric and physical assessment. Then, an individual care plan is developed. The plan will likely include one or more of our therapy services (group, physical and recreational/occupational), as well as family counseling, nutritional counseling, medication and relapse prevention.
